LIFE JOURNEY
Evangel has always been home for Amy. Her parents were her pastors growing up. As a child she was saved and baptized with the Holy Spirit here. One of the areas Amy volunteered as a teen was Children's Church, which included playing the piano and helping with worship. In 1983, Amy began working full time for Evangel in the office doing accounting and clerical work. Currently she still does accounting and also church publications. In the early 90's she became the music director/worship leader. She oversees the worship team and planning for our worship sevices. Amy has worked with youth in managing a youth worship band and coordinating special presentations through the arts. Amy is responsible for planning and organizing musical programs, which can include choir, drama, or dance. Amy has over thirty years of music experience and a passion for leading people into God's presence through praise and worship.

I love cooking and entertaining guests in our home. I really enjoy cycling and hiking. Once my husband and I cycled across the state of North Carolina on a seven day trip. It was a great experience! I also love it when we get to take family vacations. One of our more recent ventures is raising chickens. It's nice having fresh eggs every day!
You never know for sure where you will meet the person you will marry. I met my husband at Evangel. Kenny and I have been happily married since 1985 and are best friends. We have two adult children and one grandchild. Our family brings us great joy.
